"In the war between the sexes, there always comes a time to surrender - unconditionally!"This is a vintage French "affiche" movie poster from 1967 for The Taming of the Shrew (released in France as La Mégère Apprivoisée). The film stars Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Cyril Cusack, Michael Hordern and Michael York. Franco Zeffirelli directed the movie based on the play by William Shakespeare.
The poster measures 23" x 31.25" and is in very good to excellent condition with minor wear form handling. Like nearly all French affiche movie posters from this period, this poster was folded when printed in 1967. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters. The poster has been stored flat for many years and will be shipped in a tube mailer.
