The 1979 film stars Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. Terry Jones also directed the film. William Stout is the artist for the poster.
Due to the controversial religious themes in the comedy, the film was banned in many countries and did not debut in Italy for 12 years! This poster is from the first release of the film in Italy.
Referred to in Italy as a Quattro Fogli, the poster measures 55” x 78”. It is printed in two sections designed to overlap and is in very good to excellent condition. Italian two-panel posters are folded before being shipped to theaters for display. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
